Microsoft Intune helps organizations manage access to corporate apps, data, and resources. Company Portal is the app that lets you, as an employee of your company, securely access those resources.

Before you can use this app, make sure your IT admin has set up your work account. Your company must also have a subscription to Microsoft Intune.

Company Portal helps simplify the tasks you need to do for work:

• Enroll your device to access corporate resources, including Office, email, and OneDrive for Business
• Quickly reset the password to your work account if you should forget it
• Find apps that will help you with your daily tasks as provided by your company
• View and manage all your enrolled devices – and wipe them yourself if they get lost or stolen
• Get help from your IT department with easy-to-find contact information

A note about Intune: every organization has different access requirements, and will use Intune in ways that they determine will best manage their information. Some functionality might be unavailable in certain countries. If you have questions about how this app is being used within your organization, your company’s IT administrator should have those answers for you. Microsoft, your network provider, and your device’s manufacturer do not know how Intune will be used by your organization.

Pros and cons of Intune Company Portal app for iPhone and iPad

Intune Company Portal app good for

It was really easy step by step instructions to setup my email
Would be even better if the app tells me how I can revoke the device enrollment.
Everything seems to have worked very well the first time through.
I trusted the setup process and it worked seamlessly. Didnt know what was going on but it worked!
Easy and automated. The caution text is worth noting. My company instructions were basically , "trust us". Have not used the features of remote mobile access using this app yet.
This app was straight forward to use and easy to understand what it was going to do and beer able to set on my device.

Some bad moments

Very strange UX. Not clear what value it brings . Looks like a compliance thing that just make the user life harder.
Repetitive auth requests, way too many steps. Terrible UX. Replace the swr devs and/or product people
I have multiple office 365 accounts. Intune used to be ok with this. Two updates ago it started periodic checks that removed the other office 365 accounts not covered by installed certificate from Intune. Other outlook.com and icloud accounts not impacted. Microsoft was notified by me and admitted they have no fix. Now I am stuck using native email client.
This app worked fine until I updated it today. Now getting an error message every time even after restarting my device.
Trust Microsoft to make the most confusing unusable app possible that doesnt work.
I understand this is a guided enrolment but way too many screens and prompts. From a corporate UI perspective, that would be a concern. The whole UI design needs to be polished up otherwise first impression from users and execs would be poor. I believe in this product but it needs work to clean things up.
